
CESK Composites
Used for quantitative estimating in high level estimates.
The CESK Composites provide an easy-to-use estimating approach for assemblies of piping systems in process projects. As piping is usually a significant element in any project, the CESK Composites dataset ensures an accurate estimate for this discipline even when detailed quantities such as Material Take-Offs (MTOs) are not yet available.
The available composites use common ratios in piping systems to determine the required number of elbows, tees, welds, etc. per meter or linear feet of pipe. The ratios used for the build-up of composites are based on the piping complexity which is represented in the fitting factors. The CESK Composites dataset contains information based on three levels of complexity:
- High complexity (ISBL)
- Medium complexity (OSBL)
- Low complexity (Pipe rack)
For each of the three levels, the CESK Composites data contains Cold Insulated, Hot Insulated, Painted or Not Protected piping components. Each composite contains a hierarchical build-up of the included components, allowing the estimator to zoom into the detailed components of the selected piping system if needed.
Each composite already includes the material supply and labor costs for the included disciplines. This means that all required elements are included in your estimate and you can save valuable time during the estimating process.
CESK Composites integrates effortlessly with Cleopatra Enterprise, the project cost management software.
